Application cycle: Opened until all funds are expended.
Funds will be used to pay the permit, impact, and other fees necessary to connect their residence to regional central water and/or sewer services, including the cost of installing all lines from the residence to the water or sewer main. This will include, but not limited to, all electrical and plumbing expense required for connecting the residence to a lift station and cost for abandoning the old well and/or septic.
The maximum assistance allowed is $10,000. Assistance shall be in the form of a 0% interest loan secured by a mortgage and note; if the cost is $1,500 or less, the assistance will be in the form of a grant. Assistance is provided on a first-come, first-qualified, first-served basis.
Applicants must submit a completed application for determination of income eligibility. Assistance will only be provided for homes that are owner-occupied and used as the primary residence. Proof of Homestead Exemption is required and all property taxes must be current. The mortgage must be current if applicable and the home must be in good condition. Mobile homes are not eligible for assistance.
