ONVIA DEMANDSTAR / VENDOR REGISTRATION
The Sumter County BOCC has contracted with Onvia, Inc. to automate its procurement process and maintain a vendor information system on the Onvia DemandStar Web site. Vendors may register to receive notification of solicitations for bids, proposals, and quotes from Sumter County, free of charge. If you would like more information about Onvia DemandStar services, please, call 1-800-711-1712 or visit their Web site at http://www.demandstar.com.

Participation in the Onvia DemandStar system will enable vendors to maintain their vendor profile, download bid packages, and submit responses to bid invitations via the Internet as these services become available.

Vendors will only need to register once with Onvia DemandStar to receive information about business opportunities with Sumter County.

Participation in the Onvia DemandStar system is not a necessary requirement for doing business with the County. If you choose not to register with Onvia DemandStar, you will not receive automatic notification of bid opportunities. You will still be able to get bid information, at no cost, by utilizing the following methods:

Vendors may come to the Budget & Purchasing Office 910 N. Main Street, Bushnell, FL 33513.
You are encouraged to review the legal advertisement section of local newspapers in which the County's proposed procurements are publicized.
All Invitations to Bid may be examined and/or picked up at the Budget & Purchasing Office 910 N. Main Street, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Vendors that desire to be placed on the vendor list of Sumter County, please, visit the Onvia DemandStar Registration Web page at www.demandstar.com/register.rsp. Once you are logged onto the page, select the “Onvia DemandStar FREE AGENCY” option. On the form that opens, enter the pertinent information for your business, be sure to enter “ Sumter County” in the Agency Name field. If you have questions, or need technical assistance with the Web site, call Onvia Supplier Services at 1-800-711-1712. Vendors will need to register on Onvia DemandStar and select a subscription service that includes Sumter County to receive procurement information from the County. Those vendors that want to receive notification of bid and proposal solicitations from institutions beyond Sumter County have the option to select service that is appropriate for their needs.
