Building Project Updates

Jail Expansion
Sumter County is currently expanding the Sumter County Detention Center in two phases. Phase I will provide immediate inmate housing and video visitation. Phase II will include an Intake and Release Facility. This is a $24.2M project and was funded primarily through a bond issue.
