Coleman Landing Boat Ramp

A large crowd gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new boat ramp at Coleman Landing on April 27, 2010. The ceremony was held at the end of West Warm Springs Avenue in Coleman.
The Boat Ramp at Coleman Landing has been closed for a number of years and in need of various upgrades. The Coleman Landing site was used as a staging area for equipment during the renovation of Lake Panasoffkee.
Coleman Landing was re-opened to the public on April 27th and features a new boat ramp and access dock that was constructed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission (FWC) in conjunction with the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department and Road and Bridge Department. Federal Funding from the Sport Fishing Restoration Act was used for the project along with funding from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission.
The park will be open 24 hours a day and will be lighted from dusk to dawn and include 24 hour surveillance, Please join us for the ribbon cutting and stop by the park and enjoy the only county maintained boat ramp on beautiful Lake Panasoffkee.
